The Good Old Fashioned Cardi!

Gone are the days when cardigans were a little bit geeky or were safely kept in the wardrobes of the over 70's. Cardigans are big new again. Yay! With influences of the prim and proper Downton abbey and conservative 50's style dabbling of Desperate Housewives, we now are no longer embarrassed to get our cardies out.....

Get em out girls and wear them with pride. These are my top five cardigan crushes.....

Oasis Textured Cardi. €73
I love this little textured cardigan from Oasis. It serves a dual purpose, working as a "Chanel" style jacket too. Looks super cute with these shorts too.

Minkpink Cardigan €65
Minkpink have hit the new aztec trend on the head with this one. The colours are rich and graphic. I think this would look amazing put over a sleeveless black maxi dress and a wide leather belt cinching in the waist.

Reiss Tuxedo Cardigna €115

This is so beautiful. This is a piece you would have in your wardrobe forever. Its a classic. It has the look of a waterfall style jacket but you get the cosiness of knitwear. Plus the neutral colour means it will go over everything! What more could you want?

Marc by Mac Jacobs Cable Cardigan  €385

Wow! It was the colour that first caught my eye with this one but the cable design and chunky weight are fantastic. Of course it doesnt hurt that it's by Mar Jacobs either. A real splurge but worth it!

Vero Moda €46
Ok I couldn't resist a little bit of granny chic. But this one is cute with the waffle texture and this buttercup yellow would be a pretty addition to my Spring Wardrobe, especially with skinny jeans and a white tank top.

So how do you stand on cardigans? A little bit granny or a little bit now?

Fancy Footwear

.I'm ashamed to admit that unlike practically every other girl in the world I am not a wearer of heels! I know shock horror. It's  slightly embarrassing to admit. I have been known to wear them very rarely if the outfit or the occasion deems it fit but left to my own devices I choose flats every time.

Summer makes my 'situation' a lot easier because out come the ballet pumps, the flip flops and the sandals and this year is no different so I thought I would share with you my top five sandals for the Summer. I found it hard to whittle it down as there are hundreds to choose from but these little beauties definitely caught my eye.

1. Miss Selfridge. Knight Bronze Embellished flat sandal. 39 euro. Love the Aztec style of this sandal.

2. Reiss. Lloyd buckle detail flat sandal. 123 euro. A slightly more expensive sandal but amazing quality and they will match eveything.

3.Dune. Casey plaited strap sandal. 61 euro. Tan sandals are great for Summer they emphasize a tan and the neutral color will go with pretty much everything in your wardrobe.

4. Oasis. Jetalica metal tassle zip back sandal. 44 euro. Bargain price for something su unusual. These would be great for a festival with shorts or a cute playsuit.
5.KG by Kurt Geiger. Maybell bow detail flat sandal. 57 euro.Ok my Asos obsession continues and how could you resist these cuties. These sandals are so pretty and since we have already looked at oranges being the colour of the season we already know exactly what we will wear them with!!!

Now that I have compiled my wish list, I just need to wait for my next paycheck to buy them all. Happy shopping!

Bikini Body, ahhhhhhhh!

Like all busy bees I work hard and count down to this time of year just to get a taste of sun, sea and sand. Ahhh bliss but then the dreaded thought creeps into mind. Bikini! Now don't get me wrong bikinis are one of my favourite items of clothiing but the thought of getting my wobbily, pasty and celulite body out for the world to see is slightly intimidating. Especially with the wave a magazines, adverts and celebrities prancing round in the itsy bitsy all in ones, it's enough to make me cover up in Nigella's sensible 'burkini'.

So i have been good the last couple of weeks to try and get in shape as much as I can before the final reveal! As a reward I have been checking out the latest bikinis on the market so that i can treat myself to one when i reach my goal. My goal is to be able to walk from sunbed to pool without cringing!

So have a look at these beauties...... The high street has us spoiled as usual

Oasis have a really cute and feminine range too. My fav from them is this little polka dot number. Cuteness!

Topshop have this fantastically flattering one-piece which hides the tummy, plus it's in black so it will give a slimmer line than lighter colours and the frill details stop it from being boring.

Plus Topshop also have a brilliant choice in beach dresses, cover-ups and playsuits. So if i still haven't managed to lose those few extra pounds then I'll still have no excuse to look fab!

Thanks to the High street.

So what does it for you? string bikini?, onepiece or are you a fan of the bandeau?
